SHARE YOUR STORY

"Learning Sign Language is BEING Inclusive."
This Social Media Campaign hosted by Hear a Million x Freedom to Sign™ is to spread awareness on how learning Indian Sign Language (ISL) can create inclusive spaces.
Recently, Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that Indian Sign Language will become a subject for students who are in Class 9-12. They would be able to take the classes and learn the language. This is a huge milestone for the Deaf community in India.
If more people learn basic ISL, multiple doors can open where millions of deaf people can have access to information and job opportunities.
We have a long way to go since there are at least more than 25 places that are not accessible to the deaf community such as banks, colleges, and airports. How can you help?
You can help by sharing YOUR STORY of how ISL has made a difference to you and share it on social media platform!
If you support INCLUSION, then it starts with YOU to learn our Language!
The next GOAL is to get ISL recognized as the 23rd Language under Section 8 of our Indian Constitution!
